Friends of the Band

The Band of the South Australia Police enjoys the unprecedented support of the people of South Australia, such support was made evident in 1996, when it was thought the Band's playing time may be reduced.

Organisations from all over the community, both big and small, praise the Band for their efforts in charitable causes, school community policing events and tourism displays such as street marches and ceremonial events.

'Friends of the Band' are a growing number of loyal supporters (over 3000), who are regularly informed through an electronic Band newsletter "B@ND NeWS" of forthcoming events.
